The summer, 2017, it was a transition of my career. I decided to take teacher, Shiew- May’s Wedding Dress Design and Development Course to achieve my interest. The three week density training program surprised me. I never expected that I could design a bridal gown on my own. In addition, I also never expected that I could meet a bunch of peers who just like me came from different fields and maybe out of curiosity or to start a dream.
這一年夏天，難得有一個變換工作的空檔，決定為自己的興趣選修秀梅老師的婚紗企劃與設計課程。三週下來的密集培訓，真是出乎我的意料。沒有想到本來覺得很遙遠的婚紗設計，我也有可能做到。沒想到課堂上有那麼多跟我一樣，在完全不同的領域工作，但是或為好奇或為夢想踏出一步的同學。
I never thought that the fewer hours we slept the more eager we were to learn. For now, I think about if teacher Shiew- May didn’t put her 110% efforts and have a goal to pursue the wedding Industry of Taiwan to inspire all the students and lead everyone to achieved the goal, we wouldn’t have achieved as much as we did.
現在回想，如果沒有秀梅老師懷著對臺灣婚紗產業的願景，給予每位學生最實在的引導，使出 110% 的心力教導我們，大家怎會一致那麼努力? 除了無私教授多年的專業經驗，老師也用心觀察每個人的特質，激發我們的潛能。
Teacher Shiew- May is not just unselfish to share her many years of experience, but also paid attention to observe every single student’s strengths to create our potential. In her eyes, each student has their strength to approach and qualify. It is hard to believe that she not just shared the technology of development and design, but also encouraged the same of critical knowledge of teamwork. Teacher Shiew- May has earned the respect of her students.
除了無私教授多年的專業經驗，老師也用心觀察每個人的特質，激發我們的潛能。在秀梅老師眼中，每個同學都有值得肯定的地方。更難得的是，除了婚紗企劃與設計的硬技能，秀梅老師更教導我們同樣重要的軟技能 – 團隊精神。秀梅老師真的是一位值得學習的老師。
